Plain-English summary: you pay once per event, you own your guest list, we run the software honestly, and neither of us can promise a wedding goes perfectly.
SeatingSorted ("we", "us") provides seating-chart planning software at seatingsorted.com. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to it. You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account.
Creating an event and building its guest list, crews, RSVP questions and seating rules is free, with no time limit and no card required. We don't delete that work if you never pay.
Unlocking an event is charged once, at the price shown on the pricing section of our homepage at the time you unlock it. Price depends on the size of the event, in bands: up to 200 guests, up to 300, up to 400, and up to 500. Above 500 guests we quote individually. You pay for a band, not per guest, so any headcount within a band costs the same.
The band you buy is the number of guests that event can hold, and the planner enforces it. If you need a larger band after paying, contact us and we will arrange it — there is no self-service upgrade, and we will not ask you to pay for the same event twice. Guests added by your own guests through the RSVP form — plus-ones and children — are never blocked mid-answer, so an event can temporarily exceed its band; you will be asked to move up before the seating will run.
That payment covers, for that single event: the floor plan, running the seating solver, publishing the RSVP link, and exports. It does not expire and there is no recurring charge. Planning an additional event requires an additional payment.
Prices are shown in US dollars. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, who act as the merchant of record — they are the seller for the transaction, your receipt comes from them, and they calculate and remit any sales tax or VAT due in your country, which may be added to the listed price at checkout. We never see or store your card details.
If the service doesn't work as described for your event, email us within 14 days of paying and we'll refund that event in full. We can't refund an event once its RSVP link has been sent to guests and responses have been collected, because the service has substantially been delivered at that point.
Your guest lists, floor plans, event details, and any images you upload remain yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to store and display that content in order to run the service for you. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models.
You confirm you have the right to upload the personal data you enter about your guests, and that you will handle it responsibly. See our Privacy Policy for how we treat it.
Don't use SeatingSorted to store unlawful content, to harass anyone, to send unsolicited bulk messages, or to attempt to breach the security of the service or other accounts. We may suspend accounts that do.
We work to keep the service running but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance, change features, or discontinue the service. If we discontinue it entirely, we'll give reasonable notice and let you export your data first.
The seating solver honours the hard rules you set — couples together, keep-apart pairs, children with an adult — and optimises the remaining preferences as best it can. It cannot guarantee that every soft preference is satisfied, because guests' preferences frequently conflict with one another. You are responsible for reviewing the final plan before using it.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the event in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You can stop using SeatingSorted and delete your account at any time. We may terminate an account that breaches these terms. Payments already made for events are non-refundable except as described in section 4.
We may update these terms. If a change is material we'll notify account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.
